Maleny Manor Wedding Kate and Mitchell
WeKate and Mitchell’s wedding at Maleny Manor unfolded in true Sunshine Coast style — dramatic skies, soft bursts of sunlight, and the kind of shifting weather that adds atmosphere rather than distraction. The rolling clouds created a beautiful, moody backdrop across the hinterland, giving their day a cinematic feel that suited the elegance of Maleny Manor’s award‑winning wedding venue.
Set high in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Maleny Manor is known for its manicured gardens, sweeping mountain views, and timeless old‑world charm. With everything onsite, the morning was relaxed and full of anticipation. The bridal parties got ready inside the manor itself, with rooms spread across the grand internal staircase. Kate and her bridesmaids prepared in the loft, while the rest of the manor buzzed with excitement as guests began to arrive.
The Ceremony
Their ceremony took place overlooking the misty hinterland ranges — a signature Maleny Manor view. The soft haze across the mountains made the moment feel intimate and atmospheric as Kate and Mitchell exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends.
Bridal Party & Couple Portraits
After the ceremony, we explored the grounds for portraits with the bridal party before slipping away with the couple for photos around the estate. The Champagne spray moment was unforgettable — Kate even had to use her umbrella to shield herself from the enthusiastic celebration. The misty mountains created a dramatic backdrop for their portraits, adding depth and mood to every frame.
The evening kicked off with a fireworks‑style reception entrance and cake cutting, setting the tone for a warm, joy‑filled night.
Special thanks to the talented vendors: Emma Homewood as the celebrant, Mondo Floral Designs for the captivating blooms, The Lush Lilly for the exquisite bouquet, and Clinton from Mr. Fireworks for a dazzling display for the cake cutting.
