Our history with Byron
WHY BYRON MEANS SOMETHING TO US.
While on our own honeymoon over twenty years ago, Charlie and I visited Byron for a day trip. It was a bit different back then. The road from north to south wasn’t a four lane highway yet. We passed through cathedrals of massive camphor trees with the sun streaming through the gaps along the winding roads. Sections of banana plantations and lush green tropical forest lined the hills. It felt like driving into a new world. When we finally arrived, the most relaxed people you could imagine greeted us.
Byron inspired us to travel, to keep finding new places and to stay inspired. We spent six years living in a little village called Leigh, south of London, travelling extensively through Europe chasing the sun. All these years later, coming back to shoot a wedding in Byron still feels like coming back to where it started for us.
