The Warehouse Wedding Shonay and Ben
Ben and Shonay The Warehouse Wedding
Our ceremony was held at St John’s Cathedral in Brisbane’s CBD. After attending a candlelight concert at the cathedral one evening we decided it was the place we wanted to be married. Not only is it spectacular, we knew the ceremony experience and photos would be amazing. But most importantly, we know the place we were married will always be there which is really special. Our reception was then at The Warehouse in Fortitude Valley. This is just such a unique venue – modern but classic all at the same time. The Champagne tower on the rooftop bar area was a definite highlight!
We wanted a modern elegant look. So we kept to a simple black and white theme with then a touch of gold added for the reception.
A really unique and special moment of our day was when Ben entered the ceremony by walking his 104 year old grandma, Mary, down the aisle. And then when Mary was up on the dancefloor with glow sticks later that night!
Any advice for other couples ?
Ben and I made a promise to stick with each other at all times throughout the day and reception, rather than chatting to guests separately etc. This was such a good decision as it meant we actually shared all the moments together. And just have fun and enjoy the best day and party of your life!
