The Warehouse Wedding Jenny and Adam
We were married at The Warehouse in Fortitude Valley, which was also where the reception was. We wanted an urban feel to our wedding and also a venue that was suitable if it rained – which it did. We loved the brick work and heritage features of the venue – it was a great place for a party.
We had all the special people in our lives at the wedding, both family and friends. As we are coming together with teenage and adult children we wanted to include them in the ceremony. Kyle, Ella, Lucas and Max took on various roles including walking the bride down the aisle, being ring bearers and official witnesses. All the children are friends so it was lovely to have them as part of the wedding party, and also to get some great photos together, along with girlfriends Madison and Antonia. We also loved having both sets of parents there, with Adam’s parents celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. Our siblings were joint MCs and both delivered entertaining and thoughtful speeches.
Special moments were photos and quiet time before the ceremony (just the two of us), walking down the aisle and feeling the love in the room. Seeing all our loved ones smiling and being genuinely happy for us was a moment we will remember. The band was a highlight, everyone loved them and there was lots of dancing.
Advice to other couples – enjoy every moment, cherish the vows and commitment you are making to each other. The night goes really quickly so make sure you speak to all guests – before you know it the night is over!
