Valerie and Steve’s Preston Peak Winery Wedding

We were married at Preston Peak in Preston, QLD. We chose this venue because we instantly fell in love with the vibe and the breathtaking scenery. The panoramic views of the surrounding countryside created a stunning backdrop for the day, and the venue itself had such a peaceful and intimate feel that we knew it was the perfect spot for us.

Theme of our Preston Peak wedding

We didn’t have a specific theme for our wedding, but design-wise, we went with a classic black-and-white palette. It was simple and elegant, and we loved how timeless it felt. We wanted our guests to feel comfortable, so they were free to wear whatever colours they liked, which added a beautiful variety to the day.

Unique Moments at Our wedding

One of the most special moments was when we saw each other for the first time at the ceremony. The emotion in that moment, surrounded by all of our loved ones, was overwhelming in the best way. Another favorite part of the day was the late afternoon photos. The lighting was perfect, and we had a chance to step away and capture some quiet, beautiful moments together as the sun was setting over the gorgeous scenery at Preston Peak. It was good to be in the moment and just enjoy being with each other.

Advice for other couples

Our biggest advice is to stay true to what feels right for you as a couple. Don’t stress about trends or traditions if they don’t resonate with you. Also, do your best to take moments throughout the day to pause and soak it all in—it goes by faster than you think!
