Hotel Grand Chancellor Brisbane is situated on the highest point of the Brisbane CBD, directly across from the picturesque Roma Street Parklands.

What sort of a ceremony set up/ location do you have?      

We do have an onsite ceremony location at our Frescos Terrace which is a semi-covered outdoor location with views of Brisbane City. Alternatively, take advantage of our close proximity to Roma Street Parklands and have a tranquil garden ceremony with endless photo opportunities.

What happens if it’s raining?  

Our Fresco’s Terrace is semi-covered, so we simply move the ceremony to be under the covered section of the terrace.

What type of weddings do you cater for at Grand Chancellor Brisbane

And if their are any particular styles you feel suit your venue? Our new venue has the flexibility to accommodate a variety of themes, from a romantic wedding to an urban event.

How many guests can you cater for at the Grand Chancellor Brisbane

Up to 360 guests for a sit down dinner with space for a dance floor. We also offer the opportunity to host cocktail style receptions for up to 500 guests.

Our ballroom is a unique designer space, catering for endless possibilities. How far in advance should couples book?     

8 months is normally a good time to secure a venue but for busy season such as Spring, I would recommend booking 12 months prior.

What is the cost per head and what does it include?            

$130 per head and inclusions are: – Private venue hire – Chef’s selection of canapes – 2 course alternate drop entree & main with wedding cake individually plated as dessert – 5 hours beverage package – Table linen – Chair covers, chair sash & table centerpiece – White skirted bridal, cake & gift table – 2 X personalised menu per table – Dance floor – Lectern & microphone – Overnight accommodation in bridal suite with breakfast, parking, Wi-Fi and late check out included – Special accommodation rates for all wedding guests

What if someone has dietary requirements? 

Our chef caters for all dietary and religious requirements.

As the wedding planner/functions co ordinator at your venue what has been your biggest challenges as the co ordinator and what gives you the most enjoyment about your role at the venue.         One of our biggest challenges we face is couples who are indecisive as we offer so many options for styling, menu choice and room layout. We patiently guide our couples and offer advise on what options would work best with their vision. The biggest satisfaction of our role is making our couples ideas become a reality and watching their special day come together seamlessly.

Any messages to couples you would like to convey? 

Your day should be uniquely your own, and a representation of your personalities. When visiting prospective venues take along a list of questions to ask, and be open to suggestions and possibilities offered by the wedding coordinators.
