All Hallows Wedding

All Hallows Wedding Genevieve and Adrian

We were keen to have our wedding in central Brisbane – with easy access from ceremony to reception. We chose All Hallows’ Chapel as the bride had gone to school there and had many fond memories singing and being in the chapel as a student. It’s also a stunning chapel with beautiful stained glass and fresco art adorning the main dome. As we were having a really intimate wedding – our next main focus was really good food and wine and with a nod to our first joint holiday destination, Italy, Rosmarino seemed the perfect choice to deliver that vibe.

Was there a theme to your wedding at All Hallows

Not formally however all of our paraphernalia ended up covered in art of our best mate, Willoughby with a variety of drawn flowers – so perhaps it was accidentally sausage dog themed 😝

We ended up having a London Black Cab as our wedding car, which was a fun reminder of the bride’s time living in London, and again, shared travel. We also had a private first dance in the chapel following the ceremony, which allowed a really special intimate moment for the bride’s father, John, to hand over the reigns to the groom.

It’s hard to pick one favourite moment as it was all wonderful, but seeing one another for the first time as the doors opened to the chapel was really special. We also loved entering Rosmarino with our guests twirling their napkins and then being able to spend quality time with everyone – again with some fantastic food and wine!

Any advice for other couples?

Don’t sweat the small things if little things go wrong on the day and remember to be present in the moment so it doesn’t pass you by too quickly. Also, the little details mean so much – meaningful gifts, time with guests and book Adam, coz he’s fabulous!
