Aberfeldy Barn Wedding Elli and Rob
We chose Aberfeldy Barn, in Toowoomba. We loved it was a complete package, and pretty much everything done for you. The venue was fun, relaxed, yet charming at night time.
The owner, Cass, was a pleasure to work with. We’re not country people, not cow people, and don’t wear cowboy boots. But, this venue ticked all the boxes. Toowoomba is also a beautiful city for guests to visit.
Theme for Aberfeldy Barn Wedding
No theme at all. Dress to impress, have a great time, and share our special day. Like most couples, our close friends and family are an eclectic mix, and they found themselves at home. Be it on sun lounges in the afternoon, or at the bar or dancefloor at night.
Unique Moments on our wedding day
So many! We definitely were glad we picked our celebrant (I am celebrant Sam). He was the right guy for us. Saying our vows in front of our beloved friends and family was definitely a highlight. Talking about this together though, we absolutely loved our photographer, and the process. In our minds it could have dragged on, or been too posey, or awkward. However, Adam is literally a guy at the peak of his game. Fast, professional, and just so easy to work with. We’ve seen photographers take over 3 hours to do a wedding shoot, with the guests getting bored, and very drunk. When someone really knows what they’re doing, they’re quick, and it’s effortless. It was fun too! We laughed, we kissed (a lot!), and we were almost sad to finish up.
Any advice for other couples
We’d imagine every couple is different. It’s your day. Slow down. Relax as best as you can. Say your vows and speeches slowly, take the pauses, and let them sink in. Cherish the day, your family, and your friends. It’s over too fast, but you’ll never forget it.
